The ultimate king of India, Rajnikanth issued an apology to calm down furious Kannada activists on the releasing day of his Rs. 650m mega movie Kuselan.

The superstar admitted being in haste in the past, referring to the remarks he made during the Tamil Nadu drinking water project crisis.

The Tamil sensation who was threatened by Kannada activists in stalling the release of his movie said, “Money, success and fame have not gone to my head. I carelessly erred in the past due to my eagerness to help the Tamils. If given a chance, I will do much more to help people of Karnataka.”

The actor added,” My humility is not due to my superstar status. It is due to the fact that I have not forgotten that I was a bus conductor in Bangalore once.”

Rajnikant referred to his controversial quote where he said, “Shouldn’t those who place a stumbling block on a drinking water project (in Hogenekkal to benefit some 4 million Tamils) be beaten up to be taught a lesson?”

After Rajnikant’s unconditional apology the furious activists calmed down and allowed a smooth exhibition of the movie in Karnataka.

Kuselan shows Rajnikant in 20 cameo roles.

What are your verdict guys? Is the movie going to be a hit inspite the controversies and problems it faced before its release?
