A little bit about Imraan Khan
Imraan Khan has stepped into his Maamu’s shoes to be Bollywood’s original chocolate boy and man, he is too good. Much before his first movie released he had a tremendous female fan following. And guess what, like Maamu dearest, Imraan is extremely fond of filmmaking.
He says, “I went to film school in Los Angeles, where I trained as a writer and director. After graduating, I worked as a camera operator for a reality show (which never got picked up by any channel) for a few months. Then in 2005 I decided to move back to Bombay and try and make a career here. And the rest, as they say, is history.”
If he hadnt been an actor he would still be involved with movies, as he puts it, “Whatever I chose in life would have to have been connected to films. I love every single aspect of movies, so as long as I get the chance to be a part of making a film, I’m happy.”
And ask him what is the hardest thing about acting, despite being Aamir Khan-the great’s bhanja. And he says two things.
For me, the two hardest things about acting (in no particular order) are: 1. Light, charming, flamboyant scenes. I’m such a somber person; the darkness comes easily to me, but not the other stuff. I have to work hard at that. And 2. Makeup. I hate it. More than anything. It’s sticky, it rubs off on your clothes, on your hands if you happen to touch your face during a scene, on the walls if… you happen to rub your face on a wall. For whatever reason. Luckily I didn’t really use any in Jaane Tu, but I’ve had to use it for Kidnap. You’ll see why when the campaign breaks.”.
With makeup or without it Imraan, you still look the best of the debutants lot we got to see this year.
Bipasha Basu in Awe of Aishwarya Rai
Bipasha Basu is doing great in her career, she had quite a lot of good roles from good banners flowing in but she still maintains that the industry is still extremely male-dominated and that she can only dream to have a long innings like Shahrukh, Aamir and Salman who are still going great at the age of 40.
She thinks the only actress who could beat them in their own game is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She says, The only actress in Bollywood who has been able to beat this system is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. You can call it her luck or just being at the right place at the right time, but the fact is that she has achieved this feat. In fact her fame goes beyond Bollywood as she is the only one who is recognised in Hollywood. This is something, which can’t be said for even SRK or Big B.”
Well, Ash would be more than happy with that statement. Atleast someone in the industry appreciates her apart from her own family.
Genelia Bends It Like Beckham!
Genelia is on top of the world following the success of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. She is a fairly big star in Tollywood. Yet, she says that she never thought she’d be an actress.
She said, “Honestly, I didn’t ever dream of acting in my life. I’m a sportsperson and have been a national level football player.”
And Genelia is crazy about David Beckham, “I admire his looks and his stylish way of playing game,” she says.
But now football has taken a backseat. Genelia is now focused on her career as an actress, “I am looking at roles that would challenge me as an actor. I do not wish to do roles for the sake of doing films. I am looking out for some really different and interesting script,” she explains.
She is now looking forward to the Hindi remake of her Tollywood hit Bommarillu, called Its My Life, co-starring Harman Baweja. Surprisingly, this is the third time she will be remaking this film, she had already remade this film for Kollywood.
SRK reveals the truth about his Sallu fight
Shahrukh Khan, who always maintains golden silence about everything, has finally opened up to tell what he feels about his and Sallu recent fight.
Apparently SRK did not tease Sallu about Aishwarya Rai, it was Sallu who asked the King Khan to star in his upcoming home production Main aur MRs Khanna but SRK politely refused as he had no dates ‘coz he had already committed them to Vivek Vaswani’s Dulha Mil Gaya.
Salman Khan felt miffed ‘coz when SRK asked him to do a cameo in his home production OSO, Sallu agreed to it without blinking an eyelid, but SRK did not do the same which lead to the fight.
SRK who has been quiet for a long time is reportedly unwell as he had a back injury while shooting for Billoo Barber.
When quizzed about his fight with Salman he said, “I’ve nothing much to say on the issue than what has already been written. I have too much work to finish.”
Well now we at least know the truth behind the big Khan fight.

Sallu turns a true Sikh for his role
Salman Khan will be seen as a Sardar for the first time in his film career in Samir Karnik’s Heroes. And unlike recent movies with heroes portraying a Sikh character sporting French beard, Sallu actually grew his beard long enough to fit into the role of a Sikh perfectly.
Sallu who is a chain smoker also stopped smoking whenever he donned the Sikh getup.
Producer of Heroes, Vikas Kapoor revealed, “Salman respects all religion and follows them religiously. He knew that Sikhs generally don’t smoke as they are prohibited by their religion. Thus taking that into consideration Salman decided not to smoke during the shoot of this film.”
Vikas adds, “I remember sometimes he used to spend 10 hours in the same get up but didn’t smoke at all. Salman did it out of respect for the Sikh religion. Apart from his attire, “Salman also grew his beard to make his get up look real. His respect for the turban made him stay away from cigarettes.”
Heroes also starrs, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Sohail Khan, Mithun Chakraborty, Dino Morea, Priety Zinta, Amrita Arora and Riya Sen apart from Sallu.
Now should we take away the Singh Is Kinng title from Akki and give it to Sallu?
Shahid Kapoor sprains his neck
Well here is some bad news for all Shahid Kapoor fans, the handsome actor has apparently sprained his neck and has been advised by his doctors not to dance for atleast six months to cure his injury completely.
Shahid’s illness has also hit director Ken Ghosh hard, as his next flick where Shahid plays the role of a dancer must be delayed for another six months.
A source reveals, James Martin, an American choreographer who has choreographed Britney Spears’ and Justin Timberlake’s performances in the past has been roped in by Ken Ghosh for the film but everything went for a toss since Shahid is not physically fit! He won’t be dancing for the next six months and thus the shoot of Yahoo is delayed.”

Abhishek-Aishwarya to turn Ram-Sita
Real life couple, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, is going to play the main lead in the upcoming flick Ramayan. Apparently the producers have roped in comedy ka baadshah Govinda to play the role of superhero Hanuman.
Tamil actor Vikram is slated to play the role of the villain Lord Ravan.
This will be the second time Mani Ratnam will be working with the couple, he worked with them in his successful flick Guru.
The modern Ramayana’s main focus will be on showing the love chemistry between Ram and Sita.

When Bipasha Basu met Yuvraj Singh
Bipasha Basu who is known for her bonding and controversies with sportstars got to make friends with handsome cricketer Yuvraj Singh during the adshoot of Reebok, which is endorsed by both the hotties.
Bipasha has already met Yuvraj at many parties but the two gave a start to their friendship only recently at a photoshoot.
An onlooker at the photoshoot revealed.“Yuvi was initially very reserved. He was not interactive at all. Now this is very unlike him because Yuvi has always been a friendly guy. But I guess it was the initial apprehensions that made him hold back.”
So it was our bold babe Bipasha who made an effort to break the ice, “Yuvi is a good boy. If not a sportsman, he’d have certainly been an actor. He is a bundle of energy. Initially, he was a bit reserved but he came around soon. Working with him was a pleasure.”
Apparently both of them hit instantly and chatted all the time.

Shahid celebrates childhood friend’s birthday
Bollywood is better known for rivalries, feuds and breakups more than friendship, but our very own Shahid Kapoor has changed this equation as he recently made sure to celebrate his childhood friend Shriram’s birthday with whom he has been friends for the past 18 years.
A crewmember explains, ”Shahid was shooting for Vishal Bharadwaj’s KAMINEY in Pune. Came 11th August and it was Shahid’s childhood friend Shriram’s birthday who lives in Bangalore. Shahid called him to Pune. Shahid just told Shriram that he had some urgent work and needed him to come to Pune. It was only when Shri Ram came to Pune that he realized that Shahid had thrown a surprise birthday get together. “
Shahid apparently had even requested director Vishal Bharadwaj to packup early so that he could celebrate his buddy’s birthday.
Now that’s very sweet of Shahid Kapoor, don’t you guys think the same?
