Abhi and Ash to Play Ram and Sita

Looks like Mani Ratnam is very fond of Abhi-Ash as a couple. So much that he wants to repeat them in their next movie after Guru. He has signed the couple to play in modern day avatars of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita in his next film which is supposed to be an interpretation of the Ramayan.

And guess who will play Hanuman in the movie, none other than funny-man Govinda. And it is said that Govinda didn’t think for a second and immediately accepted the role.

It is also reported that Raj Kumar Santoshi has also plans of making a movie based on Ramayana with Ajay and Kajol in the lead.

I hope we wont be bombarded with movies on Ramayana the way we had so many movies in a series on Bhagat Singh. Remember?

On a serious note, do you think Abhi and Ash are apt for their roles. Or Ajay and Kajol would look better? If not then who will look better in the roles of Ram and Sita?
