Audience verdict on Madhuri’s Aaja Nachle

Hmmmm… so the first weekend of Aaja Nachle has almost come to an end and the audience verdict is clear. They have not accepted Madhuri Dixit’s invitation to nacho with her! The much talked about movie opened to a mere 50% collection in multiplexes and a disastrous 30% in single screen cinema halls across Mumbai and Maharashtra.

Even the extra hype the film got with the ban and protests against it fell flat… I guess the Madhuri mania is on the decline now … she better hand down her Bollywood queen’s crown to the new comers and let them cat fight over it. We’re sure that in the future, people would rather remember her with Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Dil, rather than Aaja Nachle.

My heart goes out to you Mads … but what to do; the Indian audience is perhaps still not ready to appreciate a 40 year old actress but on the flip side cheer for 42 year olds with doctored 6 packs …
