Who is the star of Bollywood. Shah Rukh Khan or Akshay Kumar? Many found this question to be very dumb –“It is Shah Rukh, of course!’’ they said.
There was online voting done and Sharukh did win the poll. This was not uprising as it was something expected.
Shah Rukh Khan did win the poll and that didn’t surprise us. What did was the large number of readers who voted for Akshay Kumar too! Looks like he is next on the league.
The main reason Sharukh was voted was because of his versatility which spans across genres such as romance, drama, comedy and action – not unlike Amitabh Bachchan who ruled Bollywood in the 70s and 80s.
UN Ropes In Bollywood Actors For A Charitable Cause
There is news that lot of Bollywood actors are being roped in by the UN commission for a noble cause.
United Nations want our bollywood actors to speak against human trafficking. India’s rich stars have been roped in by the UN . Human trafficking is said to be the most lucrative business all over the world.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, action hero Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar and ‘hot babe’ Katrina Kaif will now be seen in a two-minute clip, titled one life, one price, aimed at raising awareness of this modern form of slavery.
This clipping will be shown in over 1,100 theatres across India before the start of a new Bollywood multi-starrer movie Welcome. Well, this is something really nice and commendable done by our stars. Using star power for social issues is a noble thing to do.
Akshay And Katrina Paired Together Always
Akshay is paired with Katrina in a series of movies and this s raising eye brows in the industry.
Not just critical comments the couple is also receiving lot of appreciative comments from critics and audiences.
Askhay, 40, was paired with Katrina in Namaste London and he also is set to appear opposite Katrina once again in Anees Bazmee’s Welcome, slated for release Friday, December 21. He also features opposite her in another of his forthcoming film, Anees Bazmee’s Singh Is Kinng. According to a tabloid report the frequent pairing and good onscreen chemistry between
Akshay and Katrina is believed to have rattled Salman Khan who is romantically linked with Katrina Kaif.
Akshay explains why he considers the pairing both successful and sought after by producers.
“Katrina is easy going and takes her work seriously but with a smile…. There is no reason not to have fun and shoot,” he says.
“Katrina still exudes freshness in every film and that makes her likeable – a rare asset and a goldmine for any actor,” he adds.
When asked by a reporter as to why he has been recommending Katrina Kaif to all his producers Akshay’s answer was matter-of-fact.
“I’m not out to spoil her really. I’m making life easy for a colleague. I struggled once. Why should someone else go through that?” he asks.
Aziz Producing Movie With Shahid Instead Of Sharukh
“Not at all. Juhi (Chawla) and Shah Rukh are like my own children. How can I move away from them? The only reason why Shah Rukh is not in my new film is because this role required a young boy, just out of college.”
Salman Interfering In Katrina’s Movie
There are rumors that Salman Khan is interfering with girlfriend Katrina Kaif’s latest flick, ‘Welcome’.
Actually, these rumors are false and are creating lot of problems between the couple and also for the director.
“There have been rumours about Salman being unhappy with Katrina wearing a short skirt and all that, but those are only talks. Salman is a good friend. I am sure he would have come to me if he had any problem,” clarifies Anees adding, “I have worked with Salman in ‘No Entry’.
When he didn’t interfere in that film, where is the question of him butting in ‘Welcome’? He did come on the sets once but that was because I wanted to narrate a story to him. He had lunch with the rest of the cast, and there was no problem at all. I don’t know why all this talk has started.”
Wonder why gossip mongers spread false alarm all the time and create problems for these stars. After all stars are also humans and they too need their privacy.
Mallika Will Only Do Leading Roles Now
Well there is good news for all you guys especially, the boys because Mallika Arora has decided to act in leading roles only………she has decided to move away from the item girl image…………Wow that means we get to see her on screen for a longer time………….Yahoo.She will be enacting a full-length part for a leading lady. The name of the movie is not yet decided.
In the film she is paired opposite Arjun Rampal, who plays a DJ. Produced by Suneil Shetty, the film is based on the recent stories about banks forcefully extracting EMIs from the loan seekers. Sanjay Dutt enacts a major role in this film which is directed by debutant Saurabh Kabra.
Shooting is currently on for the film, which is expected to release around the middle of 2008. With the new year comes new bonanza’s ………….So Keep Waiting

Kailash Kher To Sing For Two News Movies
Kailash Kher’s music is really heart rendering and has won a many hearts in favour of his genre of music.
There is news that Band leader Kailash Kher, along with Mumbai-based Kamath brothers, Paresh and Naresh, are set to compose music for two Bollywood films.
After stamping their mark in the music industry with two successful albums, the composer trio of popular band Kailasa are now expanding their domain into Bollywood and are in talks with the Mozart of Madras, AR Rahman, who may sing for them.
“Yes, me and my colleagues of my band Kailasa, Paresh Kamath and Naresh Kamath, will be composing music for upcoming films Made In China and Allah Ke Bande,” said Kher .
“Together we will be known as Kailash-Paresh-Naresh” he added.

Shadid And Kareena Romancing This Valentine
Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor are no longer together but next Valentine’s Day (Feb 14) they’re definitely ‘Milenge Milenge’.
Hmmmm now don’t start thinking too much Milenge Milenge is the title of their long-delayed romance directed by Satish Kaushik, which producer Boney Kapoor has decided to release on the day. Shahid and Kareena coming together instead of going different ways is kinda surprising.
“So be it. Perhaps it was destined that the most romantic film featuring Shahid and Kareena would come only after their relationship is over,’ Boney told reporters.
Rumours state that this movie is brought to the surface due to the success of “ Jab We Met “. Also, rumors have surfaced that the lead pair is not interested in dubbing for the film.
‘They haven’t given me any indication that they’ve any problem with dubbing for the film,’ says Boney,
Boney has even got the film pass the censor board. ‘We’ve got the scratch-print censored. And all we need now is for Shahid and Kareena to dub.’
Director Satish Kaushik has instead questioned the reporters “As to why should Shahid and Kareena have any problems dubbing it?’
‘In fact Shahid lives in my building. I’ve asked him about the dubbing and he’s fine by it. And Kareena I’ve known since she came into the industry. I gave her first big hit ‘Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai’. Unlike that film, ‘Milenge Milenge’ isn’t a southern remake. I’ve entered a new phase of making films based on original scripts. My next release ‘Tere Sang’, about teen pregnancy, is also an original,’ says Satish.
Sister Act : Kajol And Tanisha Cheer Up Disabled Persons
Special children from 25 schools in Mumbai gathered together on the International Day of Disabled Persons. Bollywood stars Kajol and Tanisha were also present to make the occasion special for these children.
Kajol and sister Tanishaa inaugurated the special exhibition and encouraged these children, and applauded them for every effort of theirs.
Kajol said, “We bring the limelight to them. They are the real heroes. I would tell everyone to come here and see these children and appreciate their work.
Each child is special because every kid has the potential to be great, every kid has the potential to be what he or she wants to be today, there so much potential to see here and I am really happy to be here,”
Tanisha gave her own reasons as to why children are such amazing people to interact with.
“When you get a compliment from a child that your film is good, you really believe it because they give the real reaction,” she said.
Both the sisters were very open about their admiration for the hand made products made by these children which were put for display.
I guess these children will never forget this day in their lives.
