Jhoom Barabar Jhoom drowns Chak De India
Yash Raj Films had a hard hitting blow on their face when their much anticipated Jhoom Barabar Jhoom turned out to be an utter flop. So a desperate attempt is being made to save YRF’s next “Chak De India” from the same fate.
The promos that were released with JBJ in the theatres were hooted by the audience very badly and therefore the promos are of the shelf now. Reports also have it that Yashraj camp has asked their team of people to visit theatres to gauge the response that Chak De is getting from the audience. Fortunately the 5 minute video introducing the players is getting decent reviews. So let us hope this SRK extravaganza is not again a YRF’s flop show!

Ah all the Bollywood beauties have determined to rule the world! First it was Ash, then Mallika, later Shilpa and now it is Bipasha Basu. The lady who avoided stage anchoring due to her short-sight, which causes trouble for her to read the teleprompter, is now ready to take up the job for history’s sake. “History beckons me! I have been given the honour of hosting the official declaration ceremony for the New 7 Wonders of the World in Lisbon on July 7. So, I’ve got myself contact lenses. All these years I stubbornly resisted them and risked losing friends after looking through them in public. But now that I will be hosting this event with the likes of Ben Kingsley and Hillary Swank, and at which Jennifer Lopez will be performing, I’d be foolish not to correct my eyesight. I can see everything so clearly now!” said the ravishing Bipasha. She exclaimed, “I don’t know what made them choose me, maybe it was my appearance at Cannes last month. But I’m deeply honored and flattered. This is the first time that the 7 Wonders are being reconsidered. To be part of this is to be part of history. And I wouldn’t have missed it for anything in world, certainly not for being short-sighted. It would be my friend Rocky S for the Indian outfit, and that’s a saree. Armani will do my western outfit.” So all the people out there who have problems with their eye sight should do the same and should not miss the chance of seeing the hottest Bollywood celebrity with her Hollywood counterparts. The event will be held in Lisbon.
It seemed as if Abhishek Bachchan and wife Aishwarya Rai took the title ‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom’ a little too literally during the special screening of the film. A few stars and their families were invited by Shaad Ali and YRF for the screening. Abhi-Ash arrived at the spot with potlis of coins and started throwing the coins on the screen. And needless to say the coins missed destination and fell on the special guests seated in the front row. Also Abhishek, unable to keep his excitement, was hooting, screening, giggling and dancing with wife Ash. This vexed the guests and an ashamed Shaad Ali and friends had nothing to do but hide their faces. As the credits rolled Ash, Abhishek and Preity cheered aloud but Lara and Bobby kept their dignity by being sober. Hmm…sounds like daddy Amitabh didn’t give any tips on humility to his son and daughter-in-law.
Looks like the hottest couple of Bollywood are on the splits Ville. Is it raining splits in Bollywood? First the rumors were about Salman and Katrina splitting up and now it is the five year hot romance between John Abraham and Bipasha Basu that is going down the drain. Bipasha has had enough and more with John’s infidelity. The recent two flings that John had were Vidya Balan and now it is debutant actress Seetal Menon (John’s co-star in Nari Hira’s Bhram). Bipasha’s friendship with Saif has also raked up the rumors but the actress says it is no more than friendship. Well, if whatever is happening is true then it is not good! Surely these developments are not good for a relation that has had five years of love. Hope they live together!
