Jiah is finally in news about her upcoming movie! After making rave news about her debut with Amitabh Bachchan in Nishabd and Ramu being extremely interested in his new discovery, Jiah has now bagged a precious role outside her mentor’s arena. This girl surely has luck following her as every co-star she works with is of star status. Jiah has got the golden opportunity to work with Bollywood’s perfectionist Aamir Khan. She has been signed as his second heroine in Kajiri- the same role for which Ayesha Takia, Kangana Ranaut and Priyanka Chopra were slated.
A source confirmed, “Yes, Jiah Khan has been signed on as one of the leading ladies along with Asin. In the storyline, one actress plays a part in the past and the other actress plays a part in the future. While Asin has been roped in to play the first part, Jiah has been cast in the latter role.” Well, well, well looks like this girl is going to make it really big in Bollywood!

Karan: How does it feel…you know you are back after such a long time…do you feel things have changed in the industry…the work ethics…things like that?
Madhuri: Yes…simple things
Karan: Like what
Madhuri: Like… you know you have a whole bound script…
Karan: And that didn’t happen during your time?
Madhuri: Oh no, it didn’t…sometimes we used to go on the sets, we didn’t even know what we were going to say in the scene…we used to get the dialogues right then…
Karan: Last minute
Madhuri: Ya…last minute…learn them and just say them and the whole economics was different at that time of film making…and I think because of the corporate kind of culture that has come in now, it’s great, because everything is so organised now
Karan: Everything is streamlined…
Madhuri: Everything is disciplined …you know it is worked out before hand…what the scene is going to be and what you are going to wear…what you’re look is going to be…everything is set for you …it is so easy for the actors.
Karan: What else has happened is, this whole emergence of the paparazzi and the media… don’t you think?
Madhuri: That has shocked me
Karan: Like what
Madhuri: I was invited for this opening and I saw this barrage of cameramen and the press was like falling all over each other…and I was like what is happening …
Karan: And that wasn’t the case earlier
Madhuri: No, it wasn’t… I mean there were a few photographers…same familiar faces who used to be there everywhere to cover… but now it’s like you know new people, new faces and I went to this Siddhivinayak temple…
Karan: Oh ya… they have the tendency to follow people at that particular temple
Madhuri: Ya, you know…I came out and it was like… oh my God, and I thought my kids are going to be scared and I was holding on to them… but you should have seen my little one…
Karan: What did he do?
Madhuri: He was fluttering his eyes and smiling and my other kid was also enjoying all that attention…
Karan: But darling, he is an actress’ son, he has got it in his genes
Madhuri: That’s what my husband says…”bachche kiske hai”
Karan: Actresses like Rani and all are huge fans of yours…
Madhuri: Ya, she has told me that
Karan: Have you seen her work?
Madhuri: Yes, I have, and I think she is a very good actress… I have always liked her…and I envy her in a way… because my dad is a big fan of hers

Karan: What about your male co-stars, have you met them all, after you came back?
Madhuri: No, not all of them, because everybody is busy… but, I have met Shah Rukh and I think he is the only co-star I have met.

But I’m deeply honored and flattered. This is the first time that the 7 Wonders are being reconsidered. To be part of this is to be part of history. Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan create havoc
It seemed as if Abhishek Bachchan and wife Aishwarya Rai took the title ‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom’ a little too literally during the special screening of the film. A few stars and their families were invited by Shaad Ali and YRF for the screening. Abhi-Ash arrived at the spot with potlis of coins and started throwing the coins on the screen. And needless to say the coins missed destination and fell on the special guests seated in the front row. Also Abhishek, unable to keep his excitement, was hooting, screening, giggling and dancing with wife Ash. This vexed the guests and an ashamed Shaad Ali and friends had nothing to do but hide their faces. As the credits rolled Ash, Abhishek and Preity cheered aloud but Lara and Bobby kept their dignity by being sober. Hmm…sounds like daddy Amitabh didn’t give any tips on humility to his son and daughter-in-law.

Looks like the hottest couple of Bollywood are on the splits Ville. Is it raining splits in Bollywood? First the rumors were about Salman and Katrina splitting up and now it is the five year hot romance between John Abraham and Bipasha Basu that is going down the drain. Bipasha has had enough and more with John’s infidelity. The recent two flings that John had were Vidya Balan and now it is debutant actress Seetal Menon (John’s co-star in Nari Hira’s Bhram). Aishwarya Rai eclipses Bachchans internationally
Aishwarya is one among the Indians who have made it big internationally. After her critically appreciated role in Provoked and her completely international project The Last Legion it is now time to see our lady gorgeous on U.S television. No, she won’t be doing a reality show but will be see in the top U.S sci-fi serial Heroes. Heroes-TV has reported that the actress will appear in 8 episodes of the up coming series of the NBC show about ‘superhuman’ beings.
‘The science fiction drama television series, created by Tim Kring, premiered on NBC on September 25, 2006 and tells the story of several people who “thought they were like everyone else… until they woke with incredible abilities” such as telepathy, time travel and flight. It’s been said that Ash will play the role of Dr. Mohinder Suresh’s elder sister Shanti Suresh, and will have a super-power of her own, something which has not yet been disclosed.’ Ash will soon be shooting for the series in Los Angeles and the episodes will be aired in October this year. Hmm…so all those people who had doubts that Bachchans would eclipse Ash’s career, should keep their mouth shut and wait till the lady overshadows Bachchans. Great going Lady!

August 3rd is going to see a very secretive and a different version of Gandhiji. The great man who was ‘father of the nation’ for India was never a father for his own son.
Anil Kapoor’s ambitious project ‘Gandhi- My Father’ starring Darshan Jariwala, Akshaye Khanna, Bhumika Chawla, Shefali Shah and Daniel Janks, is all set to release on August 3rd. The movie has been kept under wraps till now and will be so till its release. We have great hopes on this movie. Great choice for Akshaye Khanna!
ShahRukh Khan goes to London with Chak De team
London is all for Bollywood with ShahRukh Khan and Shilpa Shetty around. So Yash Raj Films have planned to utilize this fame and cash on it. YRF’s Chak De featuring SRK as an ageing coach will be premiered on August at Somerset House in London. SRK with his whole team will be present for the screening.
‘The premiere of Chak De India is part of the Film 4 Summer Screen programme and is also one of the highlights of India Now, a three-month season starting July 17, which celebrates London’s growing relationship with India and exploration of India’s culture and its contribution to London life.’ So lets see how UK like the film!

She has been planning to have her restaurant chain in London and also her own cloth line. But one thing that has seen the day’s light is her perfume S2.
”It is really unique and very international yet it has an ethnic feel to it. It’s something that is very synonymous with me. I chose the name S2 because I thought that is a brand that can go on for my other products as well my own clothing line which I do intend on doing. I may even have a jewelry line,” said Shilpa. She was recently honored at IIFA for the global impact she created through Big Brother. Great going Shilpa!

Marigold is a musical romantic comedy about a young American woman who travels to India and finds that her life is transformed in the most unexpected ways by her experiences and adventures there. American Actress Marigold Lexton (Ali Larter) arrives in India with no luggage and a bad attitude. Stranded in Goa when financing for her low budget Hollywood movie falls apart, Marigold finds herself cast in a small role in a Bollywood musical. Eager to prove herself, she enlists the aid of Prem (Salman Khan ), the film’s choreographer. After several false starts – Marigold is most definitely not a natural dancer – she experiences renewed confidence and growing love for Prem. In rapid succession, Marigold discovers that Prem is not only descended from royalty but is also paced in rapidly – approaching arranged marriage to a beautiful India girl Janvi (Nandana Sen). Unable to deal with this development, Marigold angrily departs Prem’s family estate. But she is urged back by Janvi who confesses that Prem doesn’t love her and never will. Another complication – in the form of Marigold’s boyfriend, Barry ( Ian Bohen), who arrives in India unexpectedly – finds Marigold emotionally drained but still very much in love with Prem. Love does ultimately triumph as Marigold and Prem are brought together and Janvi and Barry embark upon a romantic journey of their own.
Aamir Khan goes Bald for Kajiri
Aamir Khan goes bald for his coming film Kajiri (Hindi remake of south hit Ghajini). The first of the film will have the awesome Aamir sporting a jovial look with his hair intact and the second half will have him go bald ‘Ekdum Khula Maidan’.
