Bigg Boss’ reality also in real life

Bigg Boss topped the TRPs with romance in the air. TheUntitled-2.jpg closeness between Aryan and Anupama was called a strategy of the channel to involve more drama in the reality show. But after being ousted from the reality show the couple is now being spotted together spending time with each other. They call their coming together an innocent bond! So was the media wrong about the strategy stuff…or is it that they were asked to continue the plan till they officially announce a break up? It can be… right?

Well everyone should think like a journo in such cases! For those who couldn’t find a mate among the inmates of the house, their friends have come to rescue them. Rakhi Sawant formally announced her love interest Abhishek’s name and even Rupali followed the suit. And sources found that Rupali’s boyfriend is none other than her friend, an NRI doctor. Amit for a change has been singing songs to his girlfriend’s (can’t remember her name) photograph…I still wonder if all these are attributes of a reality show? And if yes, does the pattern remain the same with every contestant? Someone tell me…

SRK’s private losses

Amitabh Bachchan is Big but no one has ever come up with a speculation that tells how much money would he be flushing down every time he pays a visit to the loo.But it’s not the same with the King Khan.

srk.jpg

Apparently King Khan has topped the Hrithik and Adlabs contract of Rs 35-crore by signing a Rs 35-crore deal with three leading brands in the country for endorsing their product. Mukesh Ambani owned Reliance is one of them. The deal covering two years will require Shah Rukh to share his talent with each company for an exorbitantly expensive five-days-a year. With Rs 35-crore-a-year without calculating his earning for the films, stage shows and other commercials Shah Rukh dabbles in, some people tried to calculate the economics behind King Khan’s every day activities. And when calculated it became clear that around Rs 80,000 apparently get flushed down the toilet every time Shah Rukh takes a five-minute bathroom break! Gosh he is an expensive actor…no wonder SRK has got a loo in his office and house that looks better than his living room and not even his wife is suppose to disturb him when he is in the loo!

Amitabh Bachchan declines but Naseeruddin Shah accepts

“Provoked” is all set to release worldwide in February and its director Jagmohan Mundhra has already started working on his new project based on yet another real life story. It is titled “Shoot On Sight”. Jagmohan wanted Big B to take up the role of the movie’s protagonist -an Asian Muslim cop in London whose loyalty to the system is doubted after the July 7 train bombings in London. The film attempts to highlight a country’s changing point of view towards Asian Muslims after the terrorist attack. But Big B declined the offer. So Mundhra has signed Naseeruddin Shah for the role.

naseer.jpg

Naseer, who is presently out of action because of his son Hamid’s accident, will most likely begin shooting for the movie in March or April. The movie’s title perhaps refers to the shoot on sight order given to British police after the attacks. The order gave the cops legal authority to shoot any suspected individual about to carry a terrorist attack.

GURU speaks through Abhishek Bachchan

Guru-albumcover.jpgI can remember n number of Amitabh Bachchan’s dialogue from Zanjeer, Deewar, Sholay, Namak Halal, Lawaris and many more films. Not just me any one for that matter and that is why he is Big B. But this time around even Jr. Bachchan is sure to have such an honor because of his most expected Film Guru. Mani Ratnam has made sure Vishal Krishna Acharya pens down the best for the period film hero. Dialogues that suggest time and stays strong time and ever! Taste a little of the treasure in store for you from Mani Ratnam.

Guru: Agar aapko mera kaam achcha lagta hai aur woh gora bhi yahi samajtha hai toh phir main us gore ke liye kaam kyon karoon, khud ke liye karoonga.
(If you like my work and so does the white man, then why should I work for the whites? I will work for myself.)

Aapne bambai ko club banaa rakha hai. Yahaan yeh nahin aa sakta woh nahin aa sakta. Bas suit pehenke chal aur angrezi mein baatein. Bambai ko kutta bana rakha hai aap log ne, kutta.
(You’ve turned Bombay into a club. This one can’t come in, that one can’t come in… just wear a suit and talk English…. You’ll have turned Bombay into a dog.)

Abhi abhi bambai aaya hoon. Dhang se jhoot bolna seekha nahin abhi tak.
(I have just arrived in Bombay. I haven’t yet learnt how to lie properly.)

Agar kanoon ek din mein bun sakta hai toh ek din mein badal bhi sakta hai.
(If a law can be created in one day, it can also be changed in a day.)

“Nahi” shabd samaj mein nahi aati mujhe.
(I don’t understand the word “ no”)

Hmmm. Chalna kaun chahta hain, main toh daudna chahta hoon.
(Who wants to walk… I want to run.)

Yeh race hai aur main jeetne ke liye bhaagta hoon, sair ke liye nahin.
(This is a race and I run to win, not for leisure.)

Duniya mein har tarah ke log hote hain — aur har ek ki keemat hoti hai.
(There are all kinds of people in this world — and everyone comes with a price tag.)

Bada socho aage socho aur tez socho.
(Think big, think ahead and think fast.)

Public se kya darna, Main khud public hoon.
(Why should I be afraid of public? I,myself, am the public.)

Saif and Sanjay Dutt ready to rock 2007

2006 has been a year Bollywood will be proud of. The yearSaifsanjay.jpg saw some of the great films on the silver screen with a dash or originality and style. Though the Khans were highly staked Sanjay Dutt stole the show with the character of Munnabhai. Now Munnabhai will be seen sharing the screen with one of the Khans for whom 2006 was no less a celebration than 2005. Sanjay pairs with Saif Ali Khan at the start of 2007 in two entirely different portrayals. One is ‘Nehlle Pe Dehlla’ and the other is ‘Eklavya- The Royal guard’. ‘Nehlle Pe Dehlla’ is a mad comic caper and ‘Eklavya – The Royal Guard’ belongs to drama genre. While the latter has been confirmed for a February 16 release, there is good probability of ‘Nehlle Pe Dehlla’ coming on February 9th. ‘Nehlle Pe Dehlla’ is a Ajay Chandok film who makes his directorial debut here. The film has been ready for quite some time but is eventually getting ready for release in 2007 beginning. Lets see how 2007 fares for the two Super Stars of Bollywood.

Satte Pe Satta remake has Sanjay Dutt

If you are a real bollywood buff I am sure ‘Satte pe Satta’ issan-ami.jpg one of your all time favorite movie. So is it with director Raj Sippy who plans to remake the movie. And the movie will have none other than Sanjay Dutt in the shoes of Big B. “Sanju gave a super hit, Thanedaar and its song Tamma Tamma was a national rage then. I cannot think of anyone else perfectly fitting the lead role of my remake,” says Raj Sippy. But hold on your breath folks, this planned remake will be called ‘Seven’ and will have not seven but five brothers and two sisters. Now that’s what you call a different idea for a remake! The story’s transition from its original “Seven Brides For Seven Brothers” to “Satte Pe Satta” has been interesting because of Big B and his brothers but will Sanjubaba be able to weave the magic again? For me the answer is yes, how about you? Don’t forget to comment…
