Guru le hogayee mai shuroooooooooo!!!
Han to doston… Directed by Mani Ratnam, who has written the script with Suhasini Mani Ratnam and Anurag Kashyap, Guru, is said to be a mature love story. The film was shot in Turkey and Bagalkot, Karnataka, as well as in Chennai. The architecture and mood of the film is so meticulous that one is instantly transported to the Bombay of the 1950s.
Mani Ratnam films are always prooned in secrecy and when they release they just take the audience by a whirlwind. This time Mani didn’t even narrate the entire script to anyone except Abhishek Bachchan who plays the title role and is in the film from the beginning to end.
The unit members share that “No actor from Mani’s repertoire has ever had a chance to play a role like the one Abhishek plays in Guru. His character starts in his 20s in the Bombay of 1950s and ages to 65. Abhishek not only had to put on weight but had to be fitted with a specially made bodysuit to make him look bulky and obese. It took him four hours every day in the sweltering sun just to get into the bodysuit and another hour at the end of the day to get out of costume. But at the end of the day the effort was worth his while.”
Wooph, bulky Abhishek? But of course the risk is worth taking for Mani! Stay tuned for the next piece of Guru people!

Both husband and wife are seen on Whirlpool Washing Machine ad…so the least one would expect from the popular actor Ajay is a decent clothing, but rumors say that he is moving around in just one pair of clothes every day! How awful! But then its not his fault if directors are hell bent on cutting their production costs by reducing the number of clothes their actors wear. What can an tip to toe character-friendly-actor like Ajay do? And this plight of Ajay is brought exclusively to you by Ram Gopal Varma, who insisted Ajay to wear just one pair of clothes throughout his film “Sholay”. Hope Ajay’s got several duplicate versions of the pair of clothes he is supposed to wear otherwise ‘no scent from Arabia will be able to sweeten the smell’. Oh, I think I got too much concerned about the plight of RGV’s unit.
90 crores + 900 prints worldwide = DHOOM 2 ki DHOOM….
Guys… I can swear that my heart beats a lil louder and the heart-beat rate just gets faster the moment the word DHOOM 2 is mentioned… I can’t believe we’ve entered the week of the movie’s release already… it’s gonna be 90 crores and a whole lotta toil n efforts at stake… will DHOOM 2 rock the country as much as its prequel, if not more???
The advance booking for the flick starts in a few hours and I’m taking no chances… I don’t mind sleepin while waiting in that endless queue outside the multiplex… but this time I’m not watchin the movie in the first row of the I Max (I don’t trust you BOSS)!!!

Guru ho ja shuroooooooo…!!!
With all due respect and reverence to my revered audience, I take a pledge that I will duly fulfill my duty to keep you abreast with all the information on Mani Ratnam’s film “GURU”!!! Will that do for a formal pledge? Well even if it doesn’t I am going to give the regular updates on ‘Guru’ for sure. And that’s a promise.
He is known to produce the real with a fresh entertaining factor. Mani Ratnam consistently chose realistic, contemporary themes and complex plots for his movies in an industry often accused of making commercial, fairy-tale-like, formulaic movies. And in his career, now spanning two decades, GURU is no exception. Even this promises a middle way carefully carved between the artistic and the commercial.
The promo of Guru is out and creating ripples at the box office.
Its music, by none other than A.R Rahman, is wining rave reviews in the industry. And the story is that of the classic, elegant Gujarati youth who, as the movie says, is the villager, a visionary and a winner.
‘Guru’ stars Abhishek Bahchcan, Mithun Chakravarthy, Aishwarya Rai, Madhavan and Vidya Balan in the lead while Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Hariharan, Shreya Ghoshal, Chitra, Madhushree, A R Rahman and Bappi Lahiri do the singing part of it. And of course Mallika does a fully clothed song for Ratnam. No one but Mani Ratnam could have done that I suppose!
And before you are totally in mood to listening to everything written or spoken about GURU let me ask you to wait for a little while (not more than 24 hours) before I reveal the inner stuff about GURU. Stay tuned people…ah don’t sigh its gonna be one heck of a journey!

You’ve seen different stories in one horror film, you’ve seen parallel love stories on one screen but have you seen six sizzling, sensational love stories on the silver screen. Well…director Nikhil Advani is all set to woo you with his audience with ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’ -a bitter-sweet compilation of stories of six different couples with one common problem – love!
Looks like Nikhil has been stung with the same bee of having a huge star cast as Karan Johar is. But this really promises some new, sizzling romances onscreen. The film’s promotion has kick started on the small screen and its teaser has fetched an excellent response on the very first day itself. Lets see if this turns out to be a money spinner or not.

Aishwarya Rai – bikini secrets!
People, I’m saying this for the nth time, BUT —— DHOOM 2 is cccccoooommmmiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnngggggggg !!!!!!! Well, I practically can’t (and don’t wanna) write about anything else but the movie, the cast (including Aishwarya Rai in that flicked bikini!) and the fashion statement it’s gonna make! 
A short dialogue with the movie’s stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania reveals the way Ash is gonna look in the bike flick… she reveals that the 1994 miss World is definitely gonna reveal much more than she ever has!!!
But when you ask her about flicking Aishwarya Rai’s bikini from UK model Keeley Hazell, she can’t wait to justify… “When I bought that dress for Aishwarya, Keeley Hazell may have also bought it for herself from that same designer,” says the red faced lady…

Bollwood is 76% under smoke
A World Health Organisation survey of tobacco use in movies in Bollywood showed that more than 76 per cent of its most popular films depicted some sort of tobacco use, mostly cigarettes. And King Khan is of course aware and trying to quit smoking. 
But this trial has not resulted into anything so far. Hmm…looks like all Khans are starting to be health conscious and socially responsible because Saif has determined to quit smoking too. Not just that Saif has joined an anti-tobacco campaign and started drinking a lot of water to give up cigarettes. Psst…Mr King Khan did you hear the Funda…drink water to quit smoking!
Making up, Make over and Madhuri!!!
Ooo…the damsel is back! She is making up for the four years, it is a make over to get back into shape and Madhuri is back…The lady, who set the bollywood screen ablaze with her million-dollar smile and her exotic dancing mettle, is back to weave her magic again with Yash Raj productions.
After a break of four years after her marriage and kids, Madhuri is getting into shape to start Anil Mehta’s film in January. The Ek-Do-Teen girl from Tezaab in 1988 was the reigning queen in Bollywood till she tied the knot in 1999. Her last film was Bhansali’s “Devdas”.God I really can’t wait to see the phenomena to be back! I wonder with whom is she going to create chemistry this time. But truly the wine gets tastier with time and so will Madhuri!!!

The news is again about Dhoom-2! Do you expect me to write anything other than Dhoom-2 when the D-day is approaching so fast? No, isn’t it? So people, stay gripped to your expectations because this power-packed ride is brought to you by the Japanese auto major Suzuki who has tied up with Yash Raj Films to promote the film as well as the brand!
Hmm…first Coke, then Pepe and now Suzuki…the trail might continue. But really guys, leave alone the consumerism part of it. The movie definitely looks gripping and hot! And while Sandeep’s been talking about the babes in Dhoom-2, I can’t but stop and sigh at Hrithik and Abhishek! Gosh they give me jitters! Can’t wait for the D-day? Don’t worry people, the clock is ticking fast!
