Shocking : Acid-attack on Kangana’s Sister
Newcomer Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli was badly injured when an unidentified man threw acid on her face.
According to sources, Rangoli and her friend Vijaya Chublani were the victims of the deadly attack that took place on Thursday. Kangana’s sister received serious burn injuries on her face and body, whereas Vijaya received minor injuries.
The attacker gained entry into Rangoli’s rented apartment by lying that he got a draft for her. Vijaya, who shares the room with Rangoli opened the door and the attacker fled after splashing acid on both the girls. They were taken to hospital by the neighbours, who heard the girls crying for help.
A police official said, “The case is being investigated from all angles. We cannot rule out any love angle in the matter at this juncture”.
Kangana must be really tensed now. She could not even bask in the glory of Woh Lamhe, after this sad incident. Too bad…there seems to be no end to these heinous crimes. We sincerely wish that the girls get well soon …
More on Satish Kaushik’s new find — Yamini Sharma!

We all know that Satish spotted her in a rally… but did we know for which purpose was the rally being held??? Anti Reservation? A major Social Evil? Some scam or scandal??? The answer is a simple nopes….. The lucky rally for the chick was to —– ALLOW USING CELL PHONES IN COLLEGE CAMPUS!!!
Considering her level of intelligence and face value, we can only imagine the way she’ll live up to her social responsibility as an actress
Karan Johar impressed by Tabu
Noted Filmmaker Karan Johar is keen on working with Tabu, after watching her
performance in Mira Nair’s ‘The Namesake’. Karan says, “I saw Mira Nair’s brilliant film ‘Namesake’ in Toronto. Tabu is superb in it. I’ll work with her at the earliest opportunity”.
Karan is presently preparing for the next season of his popular chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’. But unlike last time, when only Bollywood stars were interviewed, Karan says he will combine actors with industrialists, sports personalities and other professionals this time.
We sincerely wish Karan casts Tabu in a meaningful role, the actress is too talented to remain down under like that. But please Karan, don’t make her weep, cry and yell like all your actors !!!
Don will be the biggest release in America
Don is indeed one of the most awaited films of 2006. There is enormous hype since its announcement and there must be a lot of pressure on King Khan. His last movie Kabhi
Alvida was a disappointment in India, but was a huge grosser in the U.S. And if sources are to be believed, Farhan Akhtar’s magnum opus DON will be the biggest theatrical release for a Bollywood movie in North America. It will have almost 110 prints, which is 15 more than Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, which has been the widest so far. However the final list of cinemas screening DON in the UK and US will be officially released soon.
DON has some outstanding stunts and special effects. Get ready to watch Shahrukh Khan in his new Mission Impossible avatar. The film hits the screens on 20th October.
Shilpa has got mail !!!
When Shilpa Shetty gave out her Email ID to the public, for better interaction with her fans, little did she know that she will get marriage proposals by the dozen.
The sexy damsell always knew her fans loved her, but this may have come as a huge surprise to the dancing diva. “It’s really amazing to discover so many people love you”, “I want to make it clear that my e-mail ID is meant to facilitate interaction with my fans; this is not a marriage portal” she said. Well said babe !!!
She also said that in the first three days after she gave out her e-mail, she received 2,500 letters. Wow, that’s quite a big number, considering she is not giving any hits at the moment.
But instead of complaining, we think Shilpa can just give it a try and see if she finds her soulmate in her fans. You never know when the cupid might strike, love happens at the oddest places, right Shilpa ???
And it will be much easier for mamma and paapa Shetty, to find the perfect match for their darling daughter. What say folks ???
Mahesh Bhatt’s funda of making a ‘low budget’ flick
The latest movie Woh Lamhe, by Mahesh Bhatt, is based on Bhatt Saab’s relationship
and experiences with his former girlfriend the Late Parveen Babi. Well Mahesh Bhatt is known for his low budget film…..well yaa this was definitely low budget as Bhatt saved a lot of money on dresses.
In the movie the lead actress Kangna Ranaut was only wearing short skirts and dresses, showing her sexy legs. We know that this 19 year old actress has sexy legs but in each and every scene, she does not have to show them. There was not even a single scene in the entire movie where she was wearing a pair of jeans or trousers. If you find one please let me know.
The maximum that she wore was a dress upto her knees, but the leggy lass compensated by showing much of her boobs. There again Mahesh was trying to save money. So all in all, if there were longer skirts then the tops automatically fell to keep the viewers’ interest intact.
Therefore, basically Mahesh Bhatt’s Funda is – use only one meter cloth per scene per actress. Have a lot of sex scenes to even reduce that and make them mentally retarded so one white dress would do the job. Now this is what I call…… ‘low budget’ flick…
Munna finds a new fan …
Right now, Lage Raho Munnabhai is the flavour of the season and after winning everybody’s heart, we hear it has found a new fan, and that is none other than the
Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh. He is completely bowled over by the portrayal of Gandhiji’s principles in a light-hearted and impressive manner, thus driving home the message to millions across the world.
While addressing a Satyagraha Centenary Commemoration in South Africa, he said, “Every generation has rediscovered the relevance of Gandhiji’s message. I was heartened to see recently that back home in India the most popular movie this festival season is a film about a young man’s discovery of the universal and timeless relevance of the Mahatma’s message”.
Oscar or no oscar, Gandhigiri truly rocks in every sense of the word !!!
Bad guys take over……
Alright guys… the good guys are out and the bad guys are in! You know what I’m talking about, right? First it was a bhai which drove his way straight into our hearts
with his Gandhigiri and oh! So lovable antics (need I tell you that I’m talking of ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’ ??? not to mention, circuit too!!!) and now it’s time for the real anti heroes to rule the roost… Come 20th of October ShahRukh Khan will set ablaze the movie screens of India with his DON…
And that’s not all… soon after that, another anti-hero is all set to win all the accolades of the nation… your guess is as good as mine guys, it’s gotta be Hrithik Roshan in DHOOM 2 !!! The bike flick releases on the 24th of November and people like wasee are already set to watch it three times in a row!!! Hmmmmm… though the god guys will win over the bad ones in the end, don’t we know who’ll win all the hearts???
PS: so got your answer wasee???
Oscars or No Oscars – Apna Bollywood still rules!!!
As apna Amir Khan prepares for his second innings at the Oscars, this time just as
actor though, promoting the flick ‘Rang De Basanti’. We thought we’d try and analyze as to what went wrong with his first innings with Lagaan, where he was the captain of the pack. Lagaan which broke all possible Box Office records and won all major desi awards, came just short on the grandest stage of them all – The Oscars.
Was it just the same syndrome that affects the Indian cricket team, which wins at home but is a bit off color on phoren shores? Or was it the language barrier…we give you our best five guesses!!!
1. The length of the Film- 3hrs 45 mins (equal to the duration of two Hollywood flicks)
For Indians ‘big is beautiful’ so Aushutosh bhai made sure that he gave the junta one of the biggest hit in the form of one of the longest flicks to hit the screen. But the phirang bhailog seemed to be wondering whether it is the same flim or if it is two of them put together.
2. The game ‘Cricket’ (Americans don’t follow it)
The Oscar’s are Made in American so the khel had to be American too. But cricket being too British didn’t cut much ice in the land where baseball rules. They don’t follow the game nor do they give it a damn.
3. Songs (hamper the narration)
The rustic naach-gana aur nautanki of bollywood isn’t something that the videshi took much interest in. The gaon ki goriyan or the kishan ki gopikas – neither made much of an impact. So the ‘mitwas’ and the ‘ore choris’ ended just increasing the length and disturbing the narration of the storyline.
4. White bashing (or at least that’s what they think)
In salaam namaste Javed Jaferi quips – ‘while in Rome do the Romans’. Lagaan being the story of the rustic countrymen beating up the goras of England gave an impression that it did the same things with, albeit with a twist. It was a tale of the ‘goras being out-done in the game of the goras’. Or more aptly put the choras from champaner actually screwed up Captain Russell and Co., understandably much to the dismay of the gora babulog…
5. And the fifth reason is…
Guys this is too much, I thought no one would be reading this further to get to the fifth reason. It been to much of a task finding out four mistakes with this gem of a flick and you still hanging around for the fifth one…how sick of you!!! All you desh drohis, count the number of times you screemed while Bhuvan was batting or the number of whistles that screeched through the air after he hit the last ball for a sixer!!! Haan
Oscar or no Oscar… No one can beat Bollywood…Enjoy…Cheers…
