Rang De Basanti is the best Indian film according to Australians!
Oscar or no Oscar, apni Rang De Basanti has already started to collect international awards!!! Though not a big deal when it was competing only with fellow Bollywood movies, RDB managed to beat the likes of ‘Omkara’, ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’, ‘Being Cyrus’, ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’, ‘Fanaa’ etc etc….. Phew! That was ONE looooong list!!!
It was the Indian Film Festival, held at Sydney, Australia that honored RDB with the award and made Rakeysh Mehra, the director, proud… what was heartening to see is that there was more of the Australian audience who flocked to watch Bollywood in its glory…
The audiences, though couldn’t make much of the ‘Bhen di taki’ type dialogues, but surely clapped and applauded every comic sequence of the movie (surprising, ain’t it?)
So in short… RDB is all set to rock the world!!!!!!
Amitabh Bachchan still collecting awards and honors!
Is he a man? Or is he a Super man!!!! Just when you thought that Amitabh Bachchan was bestowed with all the awards and honors possible for an Indian actor, the French Embassy thought otherwise…
The French Government has officially announced that it’s going to confer the highest civilian honor – the legion d’honneur – on the big B! None other than the French president Jacques Chirac himself has decided to bestow the honor on him and has instructed the French ambassador to carry out the proceedings…
The a French ambassador has announced the honor as a tribute to his ‘exceptional career in the world of cinema and beyond,’ and will speak to Bachchan Sr. to fix a date for the ceremony, in which he’ll be bestowed the honor personally!
Wonder where he stacks all those numerous awards he keeps getting every year huh!
The big day for Amitabh, ShahRukh and Salman…
I don’t remember there being a more ‘event’ful day in Bollywood over the past few days… You remember what all was lined up for today, don’t you? Well for those who don’t, then it’s Amitabh Bachchan’s HAPPY BIRTHDAY today!!! Though the birthday isn’t all that happy because of his mother’s illness, but the ‘angry young man’ of the industry has just turned 65!!!
Though there isn’t a strand of gray hair on his head (wonder how many times does he dye his hair in a week!), age is taking its toll on AB Sr.
With the serious illness that loomed on his head last year this time, the whole country had mourned and prayed for him… and this year, we pray for his mom’s health… she’s supposed to be in a critical condition and is currently hospitalized…
Though the 65-year-old man might not celebrate today, the two Khans will! You guessed it right people.. It’s ShahRukh and Salman Khan eating into each other’s celebrations as SRK celebrates the launch of his book ‘SRK – Still Reading Khan’ and Salman dances away to glory in the Jaaneman bash!!!

Angelina Jolie, who must be chilling her ass off in her suite in Pune after the bumpy auto rickshaw ride now, has been picking up some Indian wear off late… and guess who’s the lucky designer who’s clothes the on-screen widow of Daniel Pearl will show off! YashRaj films is said to have spent close to a whooping 90 crores on the sequel and assure you that this one will be bigger than better than any other movie of the year…
Another thing to watch out for apart from Hrithik’s 15 get ups and the latest technologies used, is the sizzle factor… you guessed that right guys… I’m talking about Aishwarya Rai and Bipasha Basu setting the screens on fire in BIKINIS!!!

ShahRukh Khan trying to stub Jaaneman !!!
We all know that King Khan is getting more spoilt by the day and with the rising levels of his insecurity, is trying to stub anyone and everyone who comes his way … and after Abhishekh Bachchan, it’s the producers of ‘Jaanemann’.
He’s been quite upset since the release of his forthcoming film DON was announced to coincide with the release of the Salman Khan & Akshay Kumar starrer… and he’s just taken the Khan rivalry a step further…
ShahRukh Khan announced the release bash of the book ‘SRK – Still Reading Khan’ on the same day as the ‘Jaanemann’ pre-release bash – 11th October! Though the writer of the book, Mustak Sheikh, confirmed that the date was chosen ONLY due to unavailability of a 5 star hotel on any other day for the year, the rest of the industry thinks otherwise …

My take on Censor board’s decision to ban on-screen smoking..
Bhai log… bole to too much ho rahela hai … censor waale bolte hain ki smoking on screen is banned and any film containing a smoking scene will straight away be given an ‘A’ certificate!!! Yaar koi un mamu logo ko samjhaaye that Indian people have been seeing their heroes smoke on screen since times immemorial…
My dad didn’t start smoking even though he found Ashok Kumar ever so stylish smoking in ‘Kismet’, nor will i start after watching ShahRukh Khan in DON!!! Youngsters have always have had a sensible head on their shoulders and will continue to be so – irrespective of what the censor board thinks …
Even if you give the movie an ‘A’ certificate in the halls, how will you prevent it’s pirated DVD landing in the hands of a 12 year old (considering the fact that the DVDs release almost the same day as the movies and are MUCH widely spread and viewed)????
Those guys need to understand that giving it that certificate will only arouse the curiosity of the masses and end up being viewed more than earlier …

Shah Rukh plays Hockey now …
Never mind if Shahrukh couldn’t play much of football in Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna due to his limp (in the movie), he is all set to play hockey this time.
Shahrukh is going to play the role of a hockey coach to a girls team in Shimit Amin’s next film. We have seen some films on cricket and football already, but hockey will be a nice change this time.
We wonder who all are the lucky girls ‘coached‘ by Shahrukh in the movie. We are sure they had a great time playing the game with Shahrukh, by getting all touchy with him. Don’t let your imagination soar guys, khelte waqt kabhi kabhi touch to hoga. 
But we are all excited about a happy-go-lucky Shahrukh, ready to run around again, after lots of grumping and complaining in Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna …
Abhishek and Aishwarya together again …
Be ready to watch an overdose of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan this winter. The 
off-screen couple have a huge line up of films together – Umrao Jaan, Dhoom 2, Guru, and Sarkar2. And wait, that’s not the end. If rumours are to be believed, the couple has signed another film together, Yash Raj’s next flick.
Don’t know whether that’s true or not, but we really don’t like them much as a pair. The last time they appeared together on-screen in Kuch Naa Kaho, their chemistry didn’t work. But there was no hype last time, since they were not an item then, but the audience will be eager to watch them sizzle together this time, now that they are the most talked about couple in Bollywood (not the best though).

Katrina plays safe …
The length of Katrina’s skirt has become quite an issue in Ajmer. Katrina found herself in the midst of controversy, when devotees objected to her wearing a skirt in the premises of Khwaja Moinudeen Chishti’s shrine at Ajmer.
People have objected to Katrina wearing a western outfit inside the shrine, which did not cover her legs properly, when a large number of people were offering their prayers.
Katrina was in the Dargah to shoot for a short scene for Vipul Shah’s forthcoming flick Namaste London with her co-star Rishi Kapoor. Katrina plays an NRI in the movie who comes to India, so she had to be shown wearing a skirt.
Reacting to the Ajmer Sharif controversy, Katrina is playing safe by telling that she was just doing what the director asked her to (Intelligent girl, what say folks ???). Vipul Shah too doesn’t want to earn the wrath of people. He has politely apologised and decided to cut the scene from the movie.
So we just hope all is well for the pretty lass now …
What Does Satish Kaushik Think of Yamini Sharma???
Guys… I guess we seriously need to go get our eyes checked. Take a chill pill people, I don’t mean to offend you or something, but Yamini Sharma, the chick whom several 
people have ridiculed and predicted that acting will NOT be possible, according to Satish Kaushik, looks like Kareena Kapoor and Late Divya Bharti put together!!!
Its simple yaar… either we can’t see well, or Satish Kaushik needs AN EYE SURGERY…..
