Bollywood this year …

So far it has been a successful year for Bollywood in terms of hits. Our film industry has been churning out really good and entertaining movies in the form of Rang De Basanti, Krrish, Fanaa, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Omkara, Golmaal, Lage Raho Munnabhai and now the recent Dor.

But wait, there are many more biggies lined up for this winter, that may prove to be even more successful than all these movies. Starting from this friday, when Woh Lamhe releases, there is an interesting line-up of movies like Don, Jaan-e-Mann, Dhoom2, Umrao Jaan and Vivaah. So be ready to witness the clash of the titans this year. Salaam-e-ishq and Eklavya which were also scheduled to release in December are postponed to January. Thank God!

These are all big movies produced by big banners. But we cannot forget the small films that may turn out to be even bigger. We never know. Dor is a recent case in point that has got rave reviews and tremendous response all over.

And it’s not just about films. The competition for the best actor will be even more tougher, because almost all stars are having 1 or more major releases this year. Shahrukh has Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and Don in his kitty, Abhishek has Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Dhoom2 and Umrao Jaan, Aamir has 2 major blockbusters of this year – Fanaa and Rang De Basanti, Salman has Jaan-e-mann, Sanjay Dutt has Lage Raho Munnabhai, Saif has Omkara, Hrithik has Krrish and Dhoom2. Huh ! We are already exhausted.

So wait and watch, the game is not yet over…
