Okay so all of us had our share of chuckles on Preity Zinta’s extra flab and the disastrous
outfit she had adorned in the song… but she did rock n roll well, didn’t she??? Talking of the ‘Rock and Roll Soniye’ song, it surely did compel me to tap my feet throughout … And my dad, every time he sees the song mutters is umar me bhi bete se achha naacha hai buddha!!!
Well if you call this praise, then the ‘dude’ deserves every bit of it – and much more! Seriously guys, having crossed the age of 60 and some near to death injuries and experiences, he’s indeed going strong… much stronger than several youngsters in Bollywood (including Abhishekh)! In short, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan is the Hindi Film Industry’s sab se jawaan buddha

Preity Zinta’s extra ‘curves’
Oki guys I’m sure all of you loved watching Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and came out smiling despite so much crying in the over 3 hrs flick (man! I actually had an argument with my girlfriend about the length of the flick )… I actually checked it out once again to observe it all the more and surely did hit upon a couple of things which I’m sure you intelligent people would’ve noticed in the first time itself…
One of them being Priety’s flab … Gosh! She was looking so damn FAT – especially in the ‘rock n roll’ song! While the father-son duo of Amitabh and Abhishekh Bacchan literally rocked and rolled in the racy number (and Rani sulked a lil too much ), apni Preity was flaunting a whole lot of extra ‘curves’ in that golden attire of hers… No wonder even SRK wasn’t particularly happy with her in the movie 
… Wonder what his son Aryan might say about his favorite “Aunty” on this!!!
Aishwarya Rai influences bad guys now…
Remember we recently told you about an important addition to the long fan following of Bollywood’s princess Aishwarya Rai??? Well, she decided not to stop there but move on and achieve greater heights this time … The babe who lost tons of weight for the upcoming sequel to ‘Dhoom’, has enthralled the bad guy of the biking flick himself!!!
Its Hrithik Roshan guys and the perfectionist has clearly stated that he finds Ash completely perfect! The super star basking in the Kkrish glory presently admitted to have fooled around quite a bit during the filming of ‘DHOOM 2’ and it was only the beautiful maiden who taught him to be serious and making the character come out alive. WOW! Ash baby … you’re surely getting popular huh! And as for the chemistry between the two, then it’s for time to tell….
Bollywood wishes final Good bye to Hrishikesh Mukherjee…
As we told you people earlier, Bollywood maestro Hrishikesh Mukherjee
is no more amidst us. Though very painful, but we’ll have to come to
terms with the fact that film industry has been orphaned without the
presence of the creator of ‘mili’, ‘chupke chupke’ etc. The doomed
moment finally arrived when the mortal remains of Late Shri Hrishikesh
Mukherjee was consigned to flames on Tuesday at the Shivaji Park
crematorium in Mumbai.
The family of ‘Hrishida’, as he was fondly called, was well
supported by almost the whole film fraternity as they assembled to bid
farewell to the man who contributed a lot to Hindi Cinema. Jaya
Bachchan, who debuted in his ‘Guddi’, was deeply grieved on the
occasion and spent the rest of the day with the family who had lost a
pillar of strength! Hope his loving hand and blessings are always with us… If you’re listening Hrishida, all we’d like to say is – Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna!
Ayesha Takia’s Deadly Stunt
Performing deadly stunts has become the latest trend in Bollywood these days. We have heard of Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai performing some great stunts in the forthcoming film Dhoom 2. And now we hear the cute and bubbly Ayesha Takia performed a daring stunt all by herself for her upcoming movie. But we hear the actress met with a near fatal accident while shooting in Rajasthan.
“It was a train sequence and Ayesha had to run alongside the train. She was running on the platform. Suddenly, we couldn’t see Ayesha any more. We all thought that Ayesha must have come under the train” says Elahe, the executive producer of the movie. Ayesha had apparently fallen from the platform and was badly hurt.
All we can say to these petite actresses is leave the stunt job to the actors. You have many more better things to do …
Kareena Kapoor to be honoured
The talented and glamourous Kareena Kapoor will soon be honoured with the Smita Patil Memorial Award for her outstanding contribution to the Indian film industry.
The award ceremony will be held on September 19 at Hotel Hilton Towers in Mumbai with Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh as the chief guest. It was announced recently by Nanik Rupani, Chairman of the Priyadarshini Academy.
Earlier, this prestigious award was bestowed on Mr.Narayana Murthy of Infosys Technologies, B.k Goyal, honorary Dean and chief Cardiologist at Bombay Hospital and IIPM Professor Arindam Chaudhuri. So Kareena joins the big league of awardees with this prestigious honour.
Kareena has acted in more than a dozen bollywood movies and her performance has always been appreciated despite the fate of her movies. She gave a mind blowing performance in Vishal Bharadwaj’s OMKARA lately. Now the audiences will watch her gyrating to the much-hyped ‘Yeh mera dil’ from DON. Her forthcoming films include Mani Ratnam’s LAJJO with Aamir Khan, and Satish Kaushik’s MILENGE MILENGE with Shahid Kapoor.
A preview of DON
Farhan Akhtar’s Don is keenly awaited by all to see whether the magic of original Don is revived yet again. The remake of this old classic has a huge star cast comprising Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Rampal, Isha Kopikkar, Kareena Kapoor and Boman Irani.
Despite of being a remake of the Amitabh Bachchan starrer DON (1978), we hear Farhan’s DON is quite different in terms of the look, mood and setting, though the essence of the movie is the same. Kareena will sizzle to the tunes of ‘Yeh mera dil’ (done by Helen in the original) and the song ‘Khaike Paan Banaras Wala’ which is sung by Shahrukh and Udit Narayan, is definitely something to look forward to, since Saroj Khan has remade it in a different style.
Based on the same lines of the old Don, the sylishly crafted DON is set in contemporary times, featuring Shah Rukh in a double role paired opposite the hot and sexy Priyanka Chopra for the first time.
A huge Indian contingent embarks on a dangerous cat-mouse trail of capturing DON (Shah Rukh Khan) – the ruthless drug mafia in Malaysia. When DON gets seriously injured in a police encounter, the news that he is dead begins to do the rounds. The reality, of course, is that DON is held captive in a secret location, while his look-alike, Vijay, is polished and sent to take on DON’s gang.
In a bizarre twist of fate, when the man shielding the humble and innocent Vijay, is killed, the latter comes to terms with the horrifying realization that both the police and the gang are out to nab him for different reasons.
He makes a desperate attempt to prove his innocence, and in this, he is helped by the glamorous Roma (Priyanka Chopra), and Jasjit (Arjun Rampal), who owes Vijay a favor for care-taking his son during his imprisonment. But will Vijay be successful in his mission, remains to be seen.
This may be one of the most defining performances of Shahrukh’s career, because he is bound to be compared with Amitabh Bachchan. DON is a high-octane, tension-filled, twisty thriller with just the right dose of glamour, action, suspense and romance.
Don releases on 20th October. There is lots of excitement in store for the audiences this Diwali.
Reshamiya rocks n rolls with Americans…
And we thought it was only ShahRukh Khan who could pack houses for live concerts
across borders… well, I can’t help it because ‘temptations’, the event comprising of not just SRK, but also Saif Ali Khan, Priety Zinta and Rani Mukherjee was the largest and the most appreciated international show so far! But the 4000 audience mark, set by ‘temptations’, has recently been broken by the nasal sound king – Himesh Reshamiya!!!
Being just his first American tour, he sure made a huge impact!!! The rock star had every one rolling with his music the whole of the two hours… Himani, a novice in the field still was aghast upon seeing such craze for Hindi music… Oh guys you should have been there to believe it! One wonders how, but the Reshamiya dude is emerging as India’s ONLY rock star now!!!

Alright now this is a slap on the face for all those who considered Ash to be a plastic face who could to anything but act!!! Aishwarya Rai, the no.1 actress in Bollywood has just found a new addition in her fans list (which is a really long one already!)… So what’s new about it??? Just that this time its some one special… some one who has had the privilege of holding the most desired statuette among the world film fraternity – the Oscar!
Guys we’re talking about none other than Sir Ben Kingsley, who held the black lady for his legendary performance in ‘Gandhi’! Ash had the privilege of working with the maestro in ‘The Last Legion’ and maaaannnnnn she has impressed the dude!!! “It was a pleasure working with Aishwarya,” “She is an excellent and outstanding actor.” “She is a shining example of beauty from India !” being only a few of the compliments he’s bestowed upon the ex-miss world in the press… any guesses as to how many more would have been showered ‘personally’ 
John Turns Producer ???
Actors turning producers seems to be the latest trend in bollywood these days. Some time back, we heard actor Dino Morea disclosing his production plans. Close on the heels of Dino, another model turned actor, John Abraham is all set to float his own production house. He is likely to announce two films very soon. We heard that an overseas investor has been roped in for the same.
After proving his acting prowess on the screen, let’s see if Johny bravo creates a dhoom behind the scenes as well.
Munna Bhai gets hit !!!
Every one of you movie crazy freaks must be ready to wake up earlier than never before just to rush to the theatres and multiplexes at the earliest… kaiko??? Bole to apna Munna Bhai aala reeeeee!!!! Yes guys “Lage Raho Munna Bhai” is all set to hit the theatres on 1st September, but did you know what ‘hit’ Sanju baba while filming for one of the songs in one of the most awaited film of the year???
While filming a song in the sequel which goes, Apun ko mil gayi, arre ek kissing car, back seat pe jee bhar ke kiya pyaar (wonder where such cars are sold ), director Raju Hirani wanted a shot of Sanjay Dutt’s face covered with lipstick-kiss marks. The poor make-up man did all he could (and what did he do???) but couldn’t bring the realism in the make up… This is when the mischievous hero suggested to take the ‘help’ of all the ladies present in the crew… and sooner than he expected, a line of excited girls was anxiously waiting to pound on him… nahi yaar, it wasn’t to beat him up for such a suggestion, but to kiss him all over his face with their lips smeared with the thickest and brightest coats of lipstick!!! All we can say for the great piece of luck is – lage raho Sanju bhai
A homage to Hrishikesh Mukherjee
28th August 2006… This day will remain as a day of deep mourning and remorse for all the meaningful cinema enthusiasts. Everyone who is a fan of the old films genre would be familiar with the name of Shri Hrishikesh Mukherjee, the man who entered into the film industry which was then known only for its song and dance routines and larger than life melodramatic situations and introduced the life of an ordinary Indian on celluloid.
The living legend breathed his last on this very day making the film industry feel incomplete without his very presence… The wonder man who created over 40 movies in his long career will always be remembered for ‘Mili’, ‘Anand’ and the hilarious ‘Chupke Chupke’… At this painful moment, all that we can say is – we will miss you Sir…….
